Founder and director Bill Millerd has parlayed his fledgling company of 1975 into the occupants of three stages each bringing quality, popular fare all year long. On Granville Island, there's an intimate 220 seat revue stage and a larger theatre which hosts both a resident company and traveling productions and revue artists, comedians and singers. The Arts Club "BackStage" Lounge is a popular hang out for theatre types featuring great live music and Sunday comics. The Arts Club also operates The Stanley Theatre in upper Kitsilano, a meticulously restored venue is a classically decorated home to a wide variety of crowd pleasing plays and musicals.
